Circular dinner plate with 'Acorn' pattern, by Susie Cooper

An image of Plate. ‘Acorn’, pattern no. 1398. Cooper, Susie (British, 1902-1995). Wood & Sons Ltd (Maker). Circular dinner plate with central indentation. Around the rim a band of turquoise, with a band of gray inside. At centre an acorn twig with three leaves and three acorns in shades of green, brown, amber and pink. Underside slightly indented to form foot-rim, glazed. Earthenware, decorated with transfer print and enamels. Height 2.6 cm, width 25.5 cm. 1937-1940. Given by Timothy Barker, son of Susie Cooper and Cecil Barker.
