Chinese Bactrian camel figure

An image of Bactrian camel. Unknown maker, China. Its thick padded feet stand on a small rectangular base, and a felt saddle blanket surrounds its double humps. On its tail is a touch of lead glaze. Unglazed, moulded white earthenware covered in white slip, with traces of black, white and red paint, height, 38.1 cm, circa 618-906. Tang Dynasty (618-907).
