Inro. Ojime of mask and netsuke. Unknown maker, Japan. Lacquer inro with four divisions, and with ojime and netsuke. Black ground with nashiji, decorated in gold and silver/pewter. Depicting an eagle diving towards a crane taking cover in long grasses. Risers and lining nashiji. Ojime made from carved wood, lacquered in red and black. Mask netsuke of wood, with gold eyes. Height 7 cm, width 5.7 cm, 1700-1868. Edo Period (1615-1868).
