Miniature vase. Henan ware. The vase has a bulbous body with a slender neck, flaring towards the rim, standing on a footring. Oval label printed in black with a tower, and 'Malcolm Collection' inscribed in blue black ink 'D./94'. Oval inscribed in black '125'. Stoneware, with applied white ribs and dark brown glaze. Unglazed base. Height 6.1 cm, 1000-1127. Northern Song (960-1127). Chinese. Acquisition Credit: Lent to the museum by Helen H. L. Whittow (nee Malcolm).
