Image data

  • Contemporary Craft. Jewellery. Brooch. Curl. Finlay, Anne (British, b.1953). Blue, red and off-white corrugated papers layered to form a thick band of blue curled into an annulus which is open to one side. The inner surface is lined with a single layer of red. To the right of the opening alternate ends are finished with a short length of white, each end finishing further away from the opening, giving a striped finish with the appearance of a chamfered edge. On the back a long steel pin attached at two points. Coloured corrugated papers, layered and bonded with PVA, steel pin. Height, whole, 0.9 cm, width 7 cm, circa 2010-2017. Acquisition Credit: Given by Nicholas and Judith Goodison through The Art Fund.
