Netsuke. Inro/manju/ojime. Unknown maker, Japan. Lacquer inro with four divisions, also with a netsuke and ojime. Depicting a small bird on a japonica (?) branch, while on the reverse is a branch with prunus flowers. Lacquer, inlaid with shell, ivory netsuke. Black ground decorated in relief in gold, red and silver (?) and inlaid with shell. Black lining and risers. Yellow glass ojime. Length 7.5 cm, width 6.7 cm. Edo (Japanese period, 1615-1868). Ivory netsuke of Gamma Sennin and his Toad - see MAR.O.43A-1912.
