Maiolica. Bust of an old woman. Production Place: Italy, Emilia-Romagna, Faenza (probably). Pale buff earthenware, tin-glazed on the exterior; underside unglazed. Painted in dark blue, green, yellow, orange, manganese-purple, and black. height, whole, 20.9 cm, width, whole, 24.0 cm, circa 1490-1510. Renaissance.
