Ragged Robin, Red Campion and a Campion, by Thomas Robins

An image of Album: Florilegium. Unidentified, but probably Ragged Robin, Red Campion and a Campion (Silene). Robins, Thomas I (British, 1716-1770). Graphite with watercolour and bodycolour including white, on laid paper, laid down on album leaf, surrounded by rectangular wash borders - album leaf cut away behind drawing to show that it has been laid down on a backing sheet, height, support, 232 mm, width, support, 139 mm, 18th Century. Album containing 109 drawings. Bound with 17th Century boards, with a new spine, panelled black morocco, tooled in gilt and the arms of Antoine Ferrand de Villemilan (1603-89). Marbled endpapers.
