An image of Spanish Dancer. Cooper, Susie (British, 1902-1995). Figure of a dancing Spanish woman on a flat rectangular base, her head and body inclined, her right hand holding a handkerchief and her left holding up her skirts, right foot pointing forwards. She wears a tall white head-dress with a veil down her back; a deep blue gown over an under-dress with square, frilled neck and ruffled sleeves; and blue shoes. Her under-dress is decorated in brown to suggest gold lace around the hem. The underside is open. Plinth of dark stained solid wood, rectangular with cut corners, containing rim added to the top. Unmarked. Earthenware, moulded with modelled additions, painted in glaze with dark and light blue and light brown enamel. With solid wood plinth. Depth 14 cm, height 34.7 cm, width 14.5 cm, 1919-1922.
