Free blown glass vase, by Marianne Buus

An image of Studio Glass. Contemporary Craft. Vase. Buus, Marianne (British, b. 1967). Free-blown clear glass, rolled across a pattern of ground glass arranged on a steel plate, coated in clear glass, and rolled across another pattern of ground glass, (and possibly a third time), before blowing to its full volume and form with a geometrical pattern of rectangles in grey, blue and red. The base has been ground flat. Lead glass, height, whole, 29.1 cm, width, mouth, 14.7 cm, width, base, 6.0 cm, 1999. Acquisition Credit: Given by Sir Nicholas and Lady Goodison through the National Art Collections Fund.
