Figure. Crouching Feline Dragon. The dragon crouches with its back arched and its head up, its forelegs extended in front and its tailed curved up over its back. The wings, which would have projected from its back, are missing. Pottery, made from a pinkish buff fabric with uneven grey surface, height 13.9 cm, length 28.1 cm, 206 B.C. to AD 220. Han or Late Zhou. Chinese. Acquisition Credit: Lent to the museum by Helen H. L. Whittow (nee Malcolm).
