Contemporary Craft. Studio Ceramics. Cache pot. Welch, Robin (British, b. 1936). Cylindrical with three horizontal bands of moulding, standing on a narrower foot. The horizontal mouldings are non-uniformly stained dark brown. The interior has bands of glaze separated by bands of brown pigment and unglazed body. The recessed base is stained brown. Stoneware, glazed creamy-white and partly stained dark brown. Height, whole, 28.5 cm, diameter, rim, 22.5 cm, diameter, base, 15 cm, circa 1974.
