Engraved Gems / Ringstone. Eros standing in profile to the right, with his right hand lowered towards a flame on a small altar. Beyond the altar is a circular shrine upon a rock, which is approached by a short stairway. The shrine contains an image of Aphrodite Anadyomene. behind the shrine is a tree. Intaglio cutting, onyx, height 19 mm, width 16 mm, 0 to circa 200 AD. Roman Imperial Period.
