Engraved hematite gem with a female figure

An image of Engraved gems. Magical amulet. Obverse: a standing female figure, dressed in a chiton and a himation which is draped around the lower half of her body and hangs over her left shoulder. The figure supports herself with a long staff or sceptre held in her left hand. She holds what appears to be a palm frond in her extended right hand. She wears a wreath, and her hair seems to be arranged in horizontal furrows across her head. Reverse: inscription in two lines 'NAC' the bevel is equally inscribed. Intaglio cutting, hematite, 21 mm x 18 mm, circa 200- circa 400 AD. Roman Imperial.
