Engraved jasper gem with Serapis and Isis

An image of Engraved gems. Magical amulet. Zeus Serapis seated on a high-backed throne in profile to the left; at his feet the dog Kerberos. Separis holds a long sceptre in his left hand and extends his right hand to the goddess Isis who stands before him. The goddess supports a tall torch in her right hand and holds three ears of corn in her left. Serapis is crowned with the kalathos, while Isis wears the lotus-bud diadem placed forward on her brow; her head seems to be veiled. Reverse: inscription of various letters and symbols. Intaglio cutting, red jasper, 18.5 mm x 14.5 mm, circa 200- circa 400 AD. Roman Imperial.
