Tall stoneware vase. Northern Celadon type with a brownish green, finely crackled glaze. The body is grey with incised and combed decoration of stiff leaves round base below peonies and foliage. There is a leaf scroll band round the shoulder, as well as a brown mark. The lip is everted and downward sloping. The base is recessed and glazed, with kiln sand attached. The rim is unglazed. Stoneware, celadon glazed, incised, height 42.5 cm, diameter 19 cm. Song Dynasty (960-1279). Chinese.
