An image of Tea bowl and saucer. New Hall Porcelain Factory, Staffordshire. The circular tea bowl is moulded with deep, curved and reeded sides (28) and slightly scalloped rim, standing on a footring. The saucer has a gently scalloped edge, curved sides, slightly fluted on the interior, and stands on a footring. The inside of the bowl is decorated with a central gold floral spray, and round the top with a border of pairs of blue slanting ribbons forming a zigzag with gold stars in the spaces, and a horizontal gold band above and below. Another gold band encircles the rim. On the exterior below the rim, there is a gold continuous stem of narrow leaves with gold spots above and below, and another gold band round the footring. The saucer is decorated to match, and in addition has a circular wreath, like that on the exterior of the bowl, around the central floral spray. Pattern no. 154. Hybrid hard-paste porcelain, painted underglaze in blue and overglaze in gold, height, cup, 4.5 cm, diameter, cup, 8.5 cm, height, saucer, 3.2 cm, diameter, saucer, 13.5 cm, circa 1790-1795.
