Veneered side cabinet, by Jackson and Graham (attrib)

An image of Furniture/Side Cabinet. Jackson and Graham, manufacturer, attributed to, London. Jones, Owen, designer, attributed to (British, 1809-1874). Chubb, locksmith. Side cabinet veneered with macassar ebony inlaid with marquetry of various woods and ivory, with central cupboard monogrammed HAB with B doubled, two narrow cupboards, and bow fronted glazed cupboards at either end containing display shelves. Macassar ebony veneer, purpleheart, palmwood, thuya and ivory inlays, height 103 cm, length 240 cm, depth 57.2 cm, circa 1870- circa 1875. Chubb locks have serial numbers for 1871-1874. Victorian.
