Silver dish. Marks, Gilbert Leigh (British, 1861-1905). The dish was raised and the lizards and foliage embossed and chased. The lizards have a small piece of silver seamed under the jaw and neck, which allows the head to stand proud of the dish. The background to the dish is spot hammered. Height to rim 5 cm (variable), diameter (across rim) 42 cm, 1898-1899. Arts and Crafts movement.
