Jewellery. Bracelet. Giuliano, Carlo (Italian, 1831-1895). Composed of twelve hinged panels, each decorated with a lion's head in relief with a four-petalled flower head in a sunk beaded square above and below. The fastening is by means of a bolt passing through three sections of a tube, two on one end of the bracelet and one in the middle of the other. In recent case (A). Rectangular, of dark blue leather with a gilt line round the edge of the lid, the lower part of the interior lined with royal blue velvet, the lid with white satin, printed in gold with the Royal Arms and 'BY APPOINTMENT TO/H M THE QUEEN/JEWELLERS/Wartski/14 GRAFTON ST/LONDON WI. Silver, cast and chased, height, whole, 4.3 cm, length, whole, 18.5 cm, circa 1863-1895. Acquisition Credit: Given by Mrs J. Hull Grundy.
