An image of Roundel or trencher. One of twelve wooden roundels, with an applied print of the Delphic Sibyl. Hand-coloured in red, green, ochre and black. Inscribed in black ink. Undecorated reverse. With a small hole near the top at the edge, diameter 13.7 cm, circa 1601-1625. Part of M.5.1-13 & A-1920: Box containing twelve roundels or trenchers. Unknown maker, after Passe, Crispijn I de, printmaker (Flemish, 1564-1637). Circular box and cover of turned wood, containing twelve roundels. Each decorated with an applied hand-coloured engraving of a Sibyl, surrounded by a hand-written English inscription. Height, box, 6.7 cm, diameter, box, 17.1 cm, diameter, roundels, 13.7 cm, circa 1601 to circa 1625.
