Jewellery. Hair ornament. Child & Child, probably, London. Rectangular tortoise shell comb, to which is attached by means of a gold mount and hinge, a spray of silver leaves, enamelled green, and open-set garnet berries. Tortoise shell, gold, silver set with garnets and engraved and enamelled in translucent green. Height, whole, 10.5 cm, width, whole, 9.6 cm, circa 1880-1916, probably after 1891.
