An image of Beaker. Stenglin, Philipp, silversmith (master 1693, d.1644, Germany, Augsburg). Tall with sloping cylindrical sides and flared rim; the lower border and foot embossed with spiral stop flutes between graduated scales. The sides flaring at the top with a narrow silver-gilt border and moulded rim mount. Three-quarters of the way down the body there is a broad band of silver-gilt embossed and chased spiral stop flutes between graduated scales. The domed foot is similarly decorated. Silver, parcel-gilt, chased, engraved, height, to rim, 18.6 cm, diameter, rim, 11.8 cm, diameter, base, 9.5 cm, weight, whole, 397 g, 1708-1710.
