Sketchbook. Flaxman, John (British, 1755-1826). Vellum bound sketchbook containing 28 leaves. Three leaves have been cut out and are loose. Front cover bears traces of graphite (black ink?) illustration, and has a flap which may be closed to protect the edges of the leaves. Many leaves have apparently been removed, including the following: 1 following f.1, 4 following f.12 and 1 following f.16. Cuts on the versos of f.24 and f.25 indicate leaves removed following f.25.
