Continental glass. Mug. Unknown glasshouse, Spain, Granada. The foot is dimpled and has a central kick. The sides are lightly fluted on the lower part and have a spirally trailed thread applied to the upper part. The ribbon handle is wider at the top than at the lower end which has a kick pressed back to the handle. Transparent bubbly bluish-green glass, blown. Height, whole, 8.6 cm, width, whole, 10 cm, diameter, rim, 7 cm, circa 1700-1725. Sir Ivor and Lady Batchelor Bequest through The Art Fund.
