Production Note: Only state. Notes: According to eighteenth century sources, the print apparently represented a view of the country house and estates of the Amsterdam Receiver-General, Jan Uytenbogaert, the 'goldweigher' of the title. In fact, the panorama was taken from Het Kopje, a dune near Haarlem, and the estate shown belonged to Christoffel Thijs, one of Rembrandt's creditors.
