Girdle hook or buckle. A bronze girdle or buckle, with gold sheets. A plain curved hook terminating in a simple serpent's head. There is a central rib of inlaid dark blue glass which runs down its back. This is studded with eight coloured beads. Bronze, with blue glass inlay, gold sheets, and studded with beads, length 20 cm, 400-300 B.C. Warring States Period. Chou Dynasty (1122-249 BC).
