Etching, black carbon ink on laid paper, height, plate, 118 mm, width, plate, 90 mm; height, sheet, 128 mm, width, sheet, 99 mm, circa 1637. Production Note: II/II [before the scratch to Isaac's shoulder on the plate]. Notes(s): Impressions of the second state of this print are usually identifiable by a small scratch visible on Isaac's shoulder. It is not visible in this print, however, although the fine shading added to the plate in the second state is visible. This impression might therefore have been printed before the scratch was made to the plate. Alternative Number(s): Hollstein (Dutch/Flemish); B33 II/II; 1969. Biörklund/Barnard; BB37-2 II/II; 1955. Lugt; 2475.
