Bald old man in profile: Bust. Unknown printmaker. Rembrandt Harmensz. van Rijn (Dutch, 1606-1669). Etching, black carbon ink on paper, height, plate, 80 mm, width, plate, 69 mm; height, sheet, 80 mm, width, sheet, 69 mm, after 1630. Production Note: III/III. Modified copy after Rembrandt by an unknown pupil. Notes: Copy by a pupil of Rembrandt after 'Bald headed man in profile right' (B292 state III). The same artist also apparently executed 'Bust of an old man' (B El 35). Alternative Number(s): Hollstein (Dutch/Flemish); B293 III/III; 1969. Biörklund/Barnard; BB Rej.47; 1955.
