Milk jug. New Hall Porcelain Factory, Staffordshire. Hybrid hard-paste porcelain milk jug from a teaset, decorated overglaze with pink enamel and gilt. Decorated with a wide band of pink enamel between narrow gold bands and with scattered floral sprigs in gold, with two sprays of leaves below the lip. Pattern no. 223. Height 11.5 cm, 1785. See C.11A-L-1988: A service comprising a teapot and cover of 'silver' shape, a milk jug, sugar basin and cover, a slop basin, two plates of different sizes, two tea bowls, two coffee cups and two saucers.
