Design of lion (incomplete) and clouds, horn, cash, lozenge, etc. Silk satin, plain green ground; gold metallic thread and silk embroidery - blues, greens, black, yellow, beige and white. Stitches - couching, satin, cross, couched fillings, close herring-bone and raised work. Silk satin; whole; with silk embroidery, length, whole, 26, cm, width, whole, 17.5, cm, circa 1700. Acquisition Credit: Given by Mrs. Soame Jenyns, in accordance with the wishes of her late husband, Soame Jenyns.
