An image of Asakusa rice fields during the Festival of the Cock (Asakusa tambo torinomachi môde). Hiroshige, Utagawa (Japanese, 1797-1858). Colour print from woodblocks. Ôban format. Publisher: Uoya Eikichi (Uoei). 1857. Notes: No. 101 in the series 'One hundred famous views of Edo' (Meisho Edo hyakkei), in the section for Winter. Through an opened upstairs window of a Yoshiwara brothel the distant Torinomachi procession can be seen winding its way to the Washi Daimyôjin Shrine.
