CONTENTS:  The parted initial opened an antiphon preceded by the rubric Sabb[at]o IIII d[omi]nice quando ponitur ystoria iudith ad m. ana; on reverse, part of the second responsory to the first lesson in Matins on Sundays in mid-September, Omni tempo[re benedic Deum et] pete ab eo ut vias tu[as dirigat].
ORNAMENTATION: Five blue and red parted initials with purple and red pen-flourished infill and extensions: MS McClean 201.12b.2 [A, 2 ll.]; MS McClean 201.12b.3 [M, 2 ll.]; MS McClean 201.12b.4 [P. 2 ll.]; MS McClean 201.12b.5 [S, 2 ll.]; MS McClean 201.12b.6 [Q, 2 ll.]. Alternate blue and red one-line penwork initials with red or purple pen flourishing on remaining fragments and on the reverse of MSS McClean 201.12b.2, McClean 201.12b.3 and McClean 201.12b.4.
