Engraved gems. Magical amulet. Obverse: Harpocrates (Horus) in profile to the left, crouching on a lotus flower which springs from between two budded stalks. This newly born sun god is crowned with the lotus diadem so frequently worn by the Hellenistic Isis. He points to his lips with his right index finger and holds a flail in his left hand. Reverse: inscription in two lines. Intaglio cutting, green jasper, 14.5 mm x 11 mm, circa 100-circa 300. Roman Imperial.
