An image of Illuminated manuscript. Cutting. Leaf from an Antiphonal. Parchment, gold, 540 x 340 (365 x 209) mm, 9 lines of text ruled in faint brown ink and 9 lines of music on four-line stave ruled in red. Circa 1450 to circa 1475. Production Place: Germany. 
CONTENTS: Antiphon for the Annunciation, Orietur sicut sol salvator. DECORATION: Historiated initial [O, 2 ll.] enclosing the Annunciate Virgin, one-sided gold bar and acanthus border with God the Father, the dove of the Holy Spirit, and Gabriel with scroll sketched in plummet; alternate blue and red pen-flourished one-line initials.
