CONTENTS: Gospel reading of the Passion from Matthew 26:2 for Palm Sunday. DECORATION: Historiated initial in graded pink and gold on blue and gold grounds, with acanthus extensions with gold leaves and balls: Passion according to St Matthew, [I, 8 ll.] St Matthew standing, holding a book, and pointing towards text. ORNAMENTATION: alternate red and blue penwork initials [2 ll.] with purple or red pen-flourished infill and extensions’ alternate red and blue one-line penwork initials; capitals highlighted in yellow.
