Vase. Cizhou ware. Stoneware vase with loop handles. Unknown production, China. The top half is decorated with a thick white glaze and a rudimentary brown design, which runs into a lustrous brown-black glaze on the lower half. The base has the letter Zhou written in ink. Stoneware, glazed, height 26 cm, diameter 14 cm, 1300-1368. Yuan Dynasty (1279-1368); 14th Century. Acquisition Credit: Bought from Frank Brangwyn with the Glaisher Fund.
