Funerary Equipment. Coffin of Khety made of sycamore fig; part of one side is missing and original 'feet' lost; one line of painted text on lid and side; plastered wood painted with earth pigment. Black drafting lines still visible. Text sketched in back and coloured with Egyptian blue. An eye panel is painted on one side. Production Place: Egypt. Find Spot: Beni Hasan; 366. Wood, painted, height, 50, cm, length, 186, cm, width, 44.4, cm, ca 1990-1950 BC. Twelfth Dynasty; Middle Kingdom.
