Netsuke. Seiōbo, Queen Mother of the West, crowned with a dove and wearing a cloud and dragon patterned robe. Gyokushu (Japanese). Her attendant holds a fan and they are both standing on a three clawed dragon amongst waves. Middle of fan pole broken. Ivory, height 5.5 cm, width 3.5 cm, c. 1950. Japanese.
