An image of Okimono. Hanasaka Jiji. Unknown carver, Japan. He was an honest old man with a dog called Shiro which guided him to treasure. Bending down and leaning forward with his walking stick in his right hand, his head turned to left, talking to his pet dog Shiro next to him. Ivory, carved, 1850-1900.
