An image of Scent Flask. Capodimonte Porcelain Factory. Soft-paste porcelain, moulded, painted overglaze in enamels with gold mounts. Stopper, attached by a chain, is engraved and decorated in enamels. Height 10.6cm, width 4.7cm, depth 2.5cm, circa 1752-1755, the mounts are circa 1755-1760. Decorated on one side with a portrait of Prince Charles Stuart, the Young pretender (1720-88), and on the other with the arms of Lady Mary Hervey (1700-68), widow of John, Lord Hervey of Ickworth. Capodimonte, with London mounts.
