An image of Japanese pottery. Tea bowl. Okuka Mokuhaku (Japanese, 1800-1871). Production Place: Japan, Akahada, Nara. Footed tea bowl, thrown and turned. Buff-coloured ware with clear straw-coloured glaze, decorated with a crayfish in dark brown. Circular hollow in base of well. Thin foot rim. Impressed mark. Stoneware, glazed except foot, brush painted, height, whole, 5.30 cm, diameter, bowl, 11.20 cm, diameter, foot, 4.70 cm, circa 1845- 1871. Edo Period (1615-1868).
