Engraved gems. Magical amulet. Chnoubis in profile to the left wearing a crown of seven rays. This serpentine deity is placed so that its tail collapses into a tight spring-like form upon a cista mystica, around which is fitted a wreath. Reverse: inscription in two lines. Intaglio cutting, dark yellow jasper, 14 mm x 12 mm, circa 200-circa 400 AD. Roman Imperial.
