  • Miniature. Recto and verso: Arabic calligraphy. Unknown miniaturist, Indian. One of two leaves of a manuscript, one showing calligraphy, the other an unidentified scene (Shaikh Sanan tending the swine before the Greek Christian maid with whom he was infatuated from the 'Mantik al-Tair', by 'Attar. Black ink within ruled red ink lines on paper, height 213 mm, width 100 mm, 18th century. Production Note: Probably Kashmir.
