Coffee Pot. Swift, John (British). The tall pear-shaped body is embossed with sprays of leaves and flowers. The top of the swan's neck spout is leaf capped, the lower part embossed with flutes and a stylised shell. The body stands on a spreading circular foot. The domed cover is embossed with sprays of flowers and has a wythern silver knop. The double scroll handle is of wood. Silver, embossed and chased, height, to knop, 28.8 cm, width, spout to handle, 23.5 cm, weight, gross, 1020 g, circa 1763-1764. Production Place: London, England. Rococo.
