Chinese kinrande red bowl with gilded lotus design

Jiajing period (1522-1566). 16th century. Notes: Kinrande (literally "gold brocade") is a Japanese porcelain style where gold is applied on the surface. There are a number of various styles. It developed from the Chinese wucai during the middle of the Ming dynasty.
