Recto; watercolour; From night the golden eye of Day / His round face raises, / And lo! on earth shines out a Milky Way, / The starry Daisies / And as a choir of saints in white / Enraptured gazes / With faces t'wards the light, and Lord of light, / So gaze the Daisies. / On heaven's temple floor, that we / May give our praises, / Outspread their gold and silver tapestry / The countlass Daisies. / And day by day this wondrous show / Our sight amazes; / The glowing sun above, - and here, below, / The sun-like Daisies. / C.B.
