An image of Figure/statue. Head of queen Nefertari, the principal wife of Ramesses II. She wears two conbras instead of one to indicate her status amongst the other wives of the King. She also wears the sun disk and cow's horns of the goddess Hathor. Find Spot: Temple of Hathor, Serabit el Kadim, Egypt (Sinai). Quartzite, carved, length 25 cm, circa 1279-circa 1213 B.C. New Kingdom. Nineteenth Dynasty. Reign of Ramesses II.
