object type: Linen, yellow, band sampler embroidered with linen thread in hem, counted satin, double running, eyelet and overcast stitch with small cut-work panels of needlepoint lace filling stitches.  There is a plain selvedge at the bottom; the other three edges are hemmed.  The bands consist mainly of repeat geometric border patterns.  There are two alphabets, numerals 1-9, small detached motifs at the bottom with the inscription ' DB 1663' and a small panel of cutwork.
