object type: Black basalt, partly gilt. The sides rise from the base in a convex curve and then slope upwards into a cylindrical neck which widens slightly towards the rim (bottle-shaped). The lower part is smooth, the sloping area is textured, and the neck is smooth. The lower part of the neck is encircled by a broad gilt band.
